He has been doing great, and seeming to respond to it well, with his glucose numbers getting lower. On Saturday morning he took a turn out of nowhere. He was slow and lethargic, wouldnt eat, weak and was sick. He hid from me all day, and any time i checked on him, he would find a new hiding spot. This is VERY unlike my little needy boy. So I took him to out of hours, where they confirmed he had DKA. He stayed there until Monday morning, with no real improvements, still not eating, and still having ketones present. On Monday morning I had to move him to another vets, who did further tests, as they suspected this was more than DKA, and warned me of more sinister possible reasons. They also warned me that I may have to consider PTS, which I cant even think about.  We reached a point where those vets felt it was best to transport him to the Vet Hospital, where he is now. Further scans and tests are being carried out, and a feeding tube is being fitted, as we are on day 5 of him not eating, which is very serious for cats, especially those with diabetes, and in DKA.
